Some time many years ago, we decided to measure something that has a zero value on a scale where zero isn’t at the zero value. A temperature of no heat at all is -273 and -460 in degrees Celsius and degrees Fahrenheit respectively. This makes no sense. None.

Very good engaging economic video. The British accent doesn’t hurt AND the fact that he agrees with one of my fave congressman’s suggestions to get us out of this economic malaise…
I can’t speak to the veracity of the Professor’s claim, but the video’s worth watching for the fascinating chalk drawings.

I’m always mystified by emergency weather shopping. Why are the first three things to disappear from the shelves: milk, eggs, and bread? Maybe the human psyche is hardwired to prepare for disasters by making french toast.
